Product description

Cake Mix Choco Banana Bread

What better way to contribute than by baking a chocolate banana bread?! It may sound paradoxical, but it's true. Every year, millions of slightly overripe bananas end up in the trash. Yet, at that stage, they are perfect for... the baking tin. Dark spots? Mostly brown? Nearly black? Grab those bananas! The riper, the sweeter. The sweeter, the better for baking your own banana bread. Perfect with coffee or as a nutritious and wholesome snack.

What do you need?

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 grams of butter

How do you make it?

  1. Preheat the oven (conventional 175°C, fan 160°C).
  2. Mash 2 bananas with a fork and mix in 2 eggs and the butter.
  3. Add the contents of the bottle and a pinch of salt to the mixture. Mix until well combined.
  4. Spoon the mixture into a greased cake tin. Cut the remaining banana lengthwise and place it on top of the bread.
  5. Bake in the middle of the oven for 60 - 70 minutes. Check the bread halfway through with a skewer. If batter sticks to it, bake a bit longer! If the skewer comes out clean, the bread is ready!
